General Notes:

A Torpoint contact supplied the following, in 2008.
Mrs Banks owned a Sweet Shop in Lower Fore Street for years, but when it was bombed during the war (about 1941), she moved to a General Store on the corner of Harvey and Wellington Streets, and is still remembered by some of the older folks as a kindly old woman who died 1957.

Before the war Mrs Banks also ran a Tea Hut on The Lawn.
Some information on Great Aunt Elizabeth's children - one daughter became Mrs Ellis and had several children in Torpoint. Marjorie married and lived in Carew Street, Torpoint. Effie became Mrs Gosling and one of her daughters born in Torpoint is now living in Australia. Arthur became a Bus Driver in Torpoint, and is remembered doing the school run from Crafthole to Torpoint around the 50's. The contact's friend says her Uncle Harry now 90 remembers playing Football with Arthur and John on the beach.
