Left Torpoint 6:27hrs morning Thursday 8/8/91
Heading strait for Falmouth, pleasant dry sunny day, bit choppy ideal sailing
conditions, arrived Falmouth around 4 o’clock. Beautiful sunny hot inland,
colder in the boat. Byron feeling poorly first , Ralph gave him a tablet later
felt much better. Boys very good on journey. Ralph & I took turns to helm; Ralph
brought us in under motor.
Haven’t cleaned my teeth all day feeling a rag. My bottom was very painful from
our visit to Sandra & Nicky at Finlake Caravan site were I came down the slide
and bumped into Kurts head have damaged my coxis again
Friday 9th August 1919 Good night sleep
Overcast sun’s came out at 12 o’clock now in Helford Ralph & Kurt pumped up
dinghy looks loverly place choppy on the way over, main up with motor on.
Saturday 10/9/91 Helford beautiful village very picturesque
Club house very hospitable and friendly good showers & toilets. Left Helford at
9∙35 after breakfast.
Boys happy they have been marvellous so far. Both got runny noses but happy
10∙05 spinnaker going up weather overcast, sea calm.
12∙36 spinnaker still going strong, still overcast but calm. Kurt doing fishing
with granddads rod, just past Gerrans Bay and Gull Rock. Heading for Vergan Bay
light winds. 2∙14 spinnaker still going strong sun popping out , calm . Boys
reading all quite. Going passed Gwinnis Rock . Very careful how I sit my coxis
is really painful if I touch it, can sit okay as long as I sit upright.
