Torpoint Lady Singers

The Eden Project

Were invited to sing at The Eden Project on Sunday 5 October 2008

The weather on the day was quite wet, but cleared up on the way. We arrived in the "Banana" Coach Park, were given stickers and directed to where we could pick up the "Bendy" Bus. This then took took us straight down to a covered walkway at the entrance. We were taken to our own room where we could leave our bags, dresses and jackets etc. we all then disappeared in different directions either to have something to eat and drink or to wander through the Biomes (some of the party had not been before).

The sun had come out by the time we were ready to start singing in the Mediterranean Biome, there were quite a few people sitting round listening to us. They were a very appreciative audience, lots of smiles, and I think some of the girls were asked about the bows on their jackets, which they were proud to say were the Cornish colours.

We had a break for about 20 minutes when we just walked around. We sang again with more smiles and applause. It was a really happy occasion which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Then it was time for another cup of tea and wend our way home.

THANK YOU EDEN FOR SUCH A SMOOTH TRANSFER OF A BAND OF CHATTERING LADIES.
