Directors' Message:
lt's Panto me again! This production has been a joint effort involving Paul Failey and Mike Briggs Paul has been responsible for most of the chorus choreography and on- stage movement where as Mike has been "beavering" away in his grotto trying to produce all of the weird and wonderful props for this show This years panto is set in the Wild West and yet still contains all the usual elements found in a pantomime The Dame, The Comedy Duo, The Leading girl and boy, Ghosts and the most evil mexicam on the planet "El Loco" Amazingly, Paul and Mike are STILL on speaking terms and we hope that you will thoroughly enjoy the performance tonight
! Alice, El'Loco and Will
Plot
The local saloon is run by Shirley (the Dame) and her son Will. Will is in love with the Sheriff's Daughter Alice, but needs an injection of cash to impress her Father. He is told of a legendary, haunted Mine where gold is extracted by a gang of lost children He sets off with his mate Bud across searing desserts, charming the local Indians and eventually discovers the mine BUT it belongs to a mad, dangerous Mexican El Loco As you can imagine the Baddie is outwitted and all ends happily! There's the usual Panto ingredients and lots of western themed songs and dances.
